Help I’ve lost control of my life
These are so cool! I think Asami would make a great Green Lantern!
Ever since that night where I sacrificed 4 hours of my life to watch that movie, I’ve wanted to see some kind of reference to how awful it was in LoK. (and no tahno saying “uh-vatar” is not enough) So, I came up with this headcanon that involves Asami (since her voice actress Seychelle Gabriel was in the movie as Yue).
A couple years ago, Asami was going through a phase where she wanted to be an actress, so Hiroshi hooked her up with the Ember Island Players, who cast her in “Boy in the Iceberg” for their 70th anniversary show or whatever. She was only in it once because it was so terrible she didn’t want anything to do with it. And she just kind of tries to forget it ever happened until Korra and Bolin find an old program for it one day and Asami’s just like “NO IT WAS AWFUL”

Lustsami. Asami as Full Metal Alchemist’s Lust.
Can we all stop jumping down Mako’s throat for his behavior last episode? Yes, what he did was shitty, but everyone’s freaking out over it. I’ve seen posts claiming Mako doesn’t deserve to fall in love ever again. What the fuck? All the posts I’m seeing say Asami should just break up with him and be done with it.
Or, y’know, they could maybe talk about their problems and try to work through them. Instead of dumping him, she could maybe approach him and say “Hey what is up with you and Korra, because I’m starting to feel uncomfortable with the way you’re acting around her.”
Mako obviously has a protective streak to him. Growing up with Bolin and constantly watching his back has done this. He’s uncomfortable when people he cares about are in danger. Maybe he was just genuinely worried about her as a friend and wasn’t aware his behavior implied something else, or made his girlfriend uncomfortable. Maybe he does have feelings for her and hasn’t realized it yet. Maybe he has. WE DON’T KNOW YET.
But no matter what, they should FUCKING TALK ABOUT IT FIRST. From the way people were talking before I watched the episode, it seemed like Mako screamed at Asami, or said something like “OF COURSE WE KEEP LOOKING, KORRA’S THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN THE WORLD”, or she actually DID bring it up and he brushed her off or shut her down or whatever! He didn’t do that. He was a guy so focused on one specific goal that everything else fell off to the side. Asami making sad faces at the back of his head is not letting him know something’s wrong.
So next episode, hopefully they sit down and have a talk. If it leads to Mako fixing his behavior, excellent. If it leads to them realizing they won’t work out, also excellent. At least they can say they handled it maturely.
And another thing, why is no one discussing the fact that Aang took away Yakone’s bending without a second thought?
